We are finishing a PBS 1-hr documentary about Manhattan Plaza in NYC. For more information go to the web site: http://www.miracleon42ndstreet.org/
What's your vision?
We need a one-sheet movie poster 27"x40" It would be great if we could use some element of the look/design of Manhattan Plaza in the design. Use of generic, stock photos of NYC will probably be rejected. This is a film about a specific building at a specific time in NYC history. The title of the film is "Miracle on 42nd Street" and the following stars are in the film: Alicia Keys, Terrance Howard, Donald Faison, Larry David and Samuel L Jackson, Angela Lansbury, Giancarlo Esposito.
SYNOPSIS: The fascinating story about the history and impact of the Manhattan Plaza apartment complex in New York City. Starting with the facilities’ initial commercial failure in the dire 1970s, the film recounts how – in a moment of bold experimentation, or perhaps desperation - the buildings were “re-purposed” as subsidized housing for people who worked in the performing arts. The social experiment was a resounding success in the lives of the tenants, and it led the way in the transformation of the neighborhood and local economy. The film makes a compelling case for both the economic value of the arts and artists in America. It features on-camera interviews with people whose lives were positively impacted by the complex, including Alicia Keys, Terrance Howard, Donald Faison, Larry David and Samuel L Jackson, Angela Lansbury, Giancarlo Esposito, and many others. (You should place these names in the poster. Obviously these stars are the top selling point of the film.)
