Entertainment & The Arts
We run an annual Festival devoted to "digital media in the public interest." Each year we bring a handful of innovators across several fields from around the country to present their work to each other and to the public in the beautiful town of Woodstock, Vermont.
What's your vision?
We need a poster designed which will be distributed across the region the 6 weeks prior to the Festival event (held on October 16th) -- in order to promote the event. The poster needs to be visually compelling -- it will compete with many other event posters on college campuses and community bulletin boards. The poster should promote the name (Woodstock Digital Media Festival), date, the "digital media in the public interest" theme, the 6 speakers, and the fact that the event is free to attend but registration is required at www.woodstockdigital.com. It is our 5th year -- that can be a prominent element of the design, or not. We sometimes use the nickname "WDMF15" -- this can also be used in the poster if it is helpful. All kinds of information about the event -- including the names of the speakers -- can be found at www.woodstockdigital.com. Speaker names and short bios do not have to be especially prominent -- not like the headliners at a music festival. The Festival logo can be used as a prominent design feature -- or not. Festival sponsors (as listed on the web site) -- need to be included at roughly the same level of prominence as they are on the web site.
I have attached the poster for last year -- it is a good example of the information which is required, but we'd like a more visually compelling result. We do not have good still images from prior festivals to use -- but if there is something on our website that can be useful for design purposes -- a still from a video, for example, we are happy to have it used.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Poster starts at $199.
