99designs recently moved into our new digs in Oakland, California. Only a short drive across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco (our home for the last 7 years), we’re excited to have a whole new city to explore! The new 99designs office is located on the top floor of the iconic Breuner Building. Constructed in 1931, it's a true gem with Art Deco motifs and a green glazed terra cotta facade. The space also has lots of white, empty walls – walls we'd like to fill with your illustrated poster designs! We’d love these posters to signify our move to Oakland and highlight some of Oakland's treats and treasures. Here’s some ideas we’d love to see come to life: - Art Deco: Oakland is filled with beautiful Deco buildings. We would love to see that style come through in your design - City Landmarks: Lake Merritt, The Bay Bridge, Children’s Fairyland, The Paramount… the list goes on and on! - Maps: Whether it’s the full state of California, the Bay Area or a fun breakdown of Oakland neighborhoods – we’d love to see how you represent our new city Dimensions: We might use this poster framed (either horizontal or vertical), a collage of some of our favorite posters, or printed large as wall decal. We might even invite you to come paint on our walls yourself. Please feel creative in picking dimensions, but deliver a large and high-res file. Colors: We're moving away from the 99designs orange and blue, so please don't focus on those colors. The more creative you get with your color palette the better! Have another idea up your sleeve?
