Produce and publish content for print, web and multimedia for medical educational programs.
Looking for an identity for a one-time medical education symposium.
The title is “Waking up to chronic advanced liver disease”
The target audience are specialist and non-specialist physicians, nurses and other health care professionals who have many other patients with gastrointestinal illness, but do not see a lot of patients with this syndrome and thus may not recognize it early enough, or be aware of the need for ongoing treatment to prevent its progression. The disease is a form of liver failure. Patients will develop impairment of cognitive (brain) function if poorly managed progressing from personality changes and sleep disruption, to confusion, to memory loss, then lethargy and unconsciousness.
The primary design to be created is the front cover of a landscape format A5 flyer with the identity and the name of the program with room for subtitles and supplementary program dates and times.
Deliverables will be the native artwork and the separate elements as and Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or layered Photoshop file.
The elements to be considered are:
• Bright colours to reflect the “waking up” theme. Yellows and reds were strongly suggested.
• A multi-disciplinary health team approach
• Image or representation of the liver
• Image or representation of the brain and/or its impairment
• A link (cause / effect) of liver failure to the brain deterioration
• Syndrome name is Hepatic encephalopathy or the initials HE
• … ?
Elements of the design will be applied to the inside content page of the flyer, and the main graphic will be used as well as the background for the powerpoint title slide.
