Food & Drink
Bombay Clay Oven is a family-owned Indian restaurant in central Denver, CO. It’s been open for 22 years in the Cherry Creek neighborhood, which is up-and-coming, trendy, and affluent. The company is expanding, renovating, and focusing on broadening its marketing in the Cherry Creek area. This project is for a tabletop advertisement to attract investors.
What's your vision?
This is a tabletop advertisement to attract investors. It will sit on the tables in the restaurant’s dining room. Table Top Requirements We do not have strict requirements right now as to size, or to orientation (landscape or portrait). However, the example shown is 6”x8”. We would like it to be approximately in this size range. The advertisement will be one sided (we’ll print the same image on both sides). It will need to contain the following text: “Investment Opportunity We’re expanding and you’re invited to participate Earn a 10% Annual Dividend and own a piece of our growing restaurants Ask your server for details” The text on the investment card should mimic the size example of the DDB example attachment below. There needs to be separation between the different sections of text, similar to the DDB example attachment below. Interactive Fundraising Goal Requirements It will also need to have an image where we can show how much funds we’ve raised. We will be printing this on a plastic laminate material, and will be filling in the amounts raised with a black marker, similar to a “thermometer” fundraising graphic. For reference, please look at the attached “DDB” file, which we designed for another restaurant. For that project, we had the fundraising amounts superimposed on a beer glass, and would color in with the magic marker up to the amount raised. Fundraising Graphics We are looking for a graphic that will function in the same way as the beer glass from the DDB file, and are looking for suggestions that will match the theme of our Indian restaurant (One idea is to use the image of the Hindu God on the corner fence of the “Sutra Remodel.jpg attachment. Feel free to also use your own idea). Temporarily, use the amounts and the copy surrounding the beer mug from DDB. Source and inspiration materials We have included an architectural rendering of the planned restaurant remodel in the attached files. It is called Sutra Remodel.jpg. You may use this photo in your designs, or may use it for reference or inspiration. We particularly like the image of the Hindu God on the fence in the corner. You may want to use that image,(or a similar elegant image) in your design. We have uploaded that image by itself as "Painting of Subrata Das.jpg." We have also included a photo called "Taj Mahal BCO." This is another option for designs: we'd like to see the main building with an opacity treatment with the text over, and we'd like to see the minaret/tower turned into the thermometer graphic. You may need to flip the image to do this effectively. We’ve also attached the Bombay Clay Oven Logo. Images will need to be composed of stock photos. The Feel of the Advertisement The restaurant is an upscale, four-star, fine dining Indian restaurant. We want to bring an elegant flavor of India to our tabletop advertisement. However, the purpose of this advertisement is to attract investors to help fund the expansion of the restaurant, so we want to balance the Indian feel with a conservative business feel. We are looking for bold colors, but not psychedelic. We want to avoid anything that is too “cartoony.” If you would like to get a feel for the business and its current plans, we have attached a word document called “PPM Bombay Group.”
English Speaking Requirements The finalists chosen need to be able to communicate verbally in English. We also require the ability to communicate over the internet by conferencing software, such as Skype. As this project goes into the final rounds, we will be communicating changes and ideas to you via internet conference call. There will be opportunities for future potential work based on our satisfaction. Thank you! We are looking forward to viewing your designs.
