The Ocean 180 Video Challenge is sponsored by the Florida Center for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence (COSEE Florida) and is designed to encourage ocean scientists to share their discoveries and excitement for research with teachers, students, and the public.
The contest challenges scientists to develop a short video that summarizes the important findings of a recent research paper and also highlights the relevance, meaning, and implications of the research to persons outside their discipline. Although the videos will be initially judged by a panel of scientists and communication experts, the final winners will be selected by a diverse, and often very critical, group of potential-future ocean scientists – 6th-8th grade students from classrooms around the world.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We would like a flier that we can use to advertise the competition to teachers, scientists, and educators. The flier should have a "ocean theme" to it and incorporate the contest logo. It should highlight some fothe details of the competition (http://www.ocean180.org) and encourage teachers and scientists to visit the web page to sign-up.
