Community & Non-Profit
An advocacy group to bring attention to the staffing crisis felt by disability providers in Utah.
What's your vision?
We are looking for a flyer (8.5"x11") to be made to give families direction on how to reach out to their local legislators. We need all of this information, but it can be formatted in the way you feel looks best. Staffing Crisis We need your help! What can you do? 1. Contact your state legislators. a. To find contact information go to https://le.utah.gov/GIS/findDistrict.jsp 2. Express your support of the UACS funding request of $39,000.000 a. This will give providers that ability to raise starting wages from $11.75 an hour to $18.00 an hour to compete with fast food, retail, and Amazon. 3. Share your story a. How have services been important to you and your family? b. How would a shortage of staffing impact your family and loved one? c. Your thoughts on why it is important to have professional and well-trained staff? 4. Share appreciation for DSPD services and the work of your representatives to make this happen. Tips: Keep it short and sweet. This will make your message more likely to get read. Understand that legislators are busy, and you may not get the response you hope for. We want to be persistent, but not annoying. We will send out notifications of our updates so you can continue to follow up. To learn more about the UACS funding request or more about the staffing crisis, please visit www.crisisofcare.com You can also direct any questions to your provider or Robert Nutzman at email@example.com
If it could have a similar feel to the website crisisofcare.com that would be great. It doesn't need to match exactly, but just have a similar brand.
