Mariana Sheppard Studio has been in business for over 10 years and focuses on conceptual, portraiture, and documentary style photography. I consider myself a visual storyteller who moves fluidly between street and studio photography. Increasingly, my business has evolved into more commercial work, an area I want to put more focus into. Some of my work has been used by brands such as GQ, SheaMoisture Men, and Square to name a few. My target audience is people of color, specifically late 20’s to 50. I believe strongly in representation. Documenting Black and Brown people in beautiful and humane ways are important to me and my work. Brands that inspire me are: Gap, Urban Outfitters, West Elm, Magnolia Right now my design aesthetic is boring and doesn’t offer an element of curiosity. I would like for my audience to see my brand as inviting and interesting.
What's your vision?
Postcard design orientation will be horizontal. Postcard size will be 4 x 6 inches. Front: Include "Mariana Sheppard Studio & logo" Back: Design should be minimal with space for me to write a note on it. Logo is attached in brief.
I’m drawn to designs that are bold in style, yet minimal. I like color blocking, especially blocking that involves purple and magenta. I am also drawn to neutral tones. I also like interesting geometrical shapes. I plan to have my the postcard printed on "matte" card stock paper.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Postcard, flyer or print starts at $199.
