tulipslip got their new postcard, flyer or print by running a design contest:
Create adventurous postcard for a nonprofit
Check out tulipslip's Postcard, flyer or print contest…
We are a nonprofit organization that focuses on ocean health. We pioneered citizen sailing oceanography, which is a group of sailors who go out and collect plankton data about our oceans. We sequence the plankton and do DNA analysis. From that we can build ocean health baselines!
What's your vision?
This needs to look really slick and professional (no fancy swirly fonts!), as we will use it for fundraising activities. Color scheme: blue! Same blue that matches our logo (attached). Please look at our website, www.indigovexpeditions.org for design inspiration. Feel free add your own creativity. We need to make this really exciting and inspiring. Has to really communicate a message of adventure. I will write in the text, tagline, contact details, etc, just leave a space(s) empty for that. This does need to be two sided. Size: 148mmx105mm. The front should be awesome. Just a fantastic wow! The back should have places where I can describe our organization in better detail. Moo Design has some good ideas for inspiration, with some boxes and then space for text. This is a good example of that: https://www.moo.com/uk/templates/postcards/116/123?finishingOption=square_corners&laminate=mattelam&paperType=classic&productType=postcard Thank you and looking forward to working with you!! Just a final note: I'm happy to pay a small amount for stock images (~$10), but do please make sure I will have the right to use the image.
I've attached files that you might want to use. (logo obligatory). Please work in sailing and DNA. :)

And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
