Shaeandra got their new podcast by running a design contest:
The Shout Box - Podcast Art (that's eye catching and can grow with us!)

Games & Recreational
My friend and I are coming together to do a project. My brand is energetic... I'm loud and excitable. His is more stoic, he's level-headed and thinks carefully before speaking. We're starting a podcast and going with what we know - roleplaying in all its forms. The podcast will mostly focus on Tabletop Roleplaying Games, but eventually we're thinking of branching out and doing multiple podcasts about different topics, which is why we used the name "Shout Box" instead of something more RP centered. We wanted to capture our brands together and that's what I'm looking for with this cover/logo.
What's your vision?
We need podcast cover art that's 3000x3000px and 300 dpi. Basically, it should be ready to submit to Apple, Google, Spotify, etc. We'd be looking for something that stands out when you're scrolling through the lists of podcasts, and not necessarily minimal but I know if there's too much going on with the cover art I often keep scrolling. We want it to be immediately recognizable and original artwork. I've included a couple examples of cover art that stands out to me. The podcast is called "The Shout Box". It's myself and a partner. My brand has typically been seen as being loud and energetic. I've sometimes used a megaphone logo or me with a big screaming mouth. He's much more calm and stoic. He's got branding using "The Box" and cardboard boxes. The podcast will be about Tabletop RPGs, roleplaying games, topics around that. However, we're looking to have the logo be primarily focused on our brands above so that we could branch out in the future and the logo could represent our brand overall. If you could come up with a nice general design like that, when we have specific topics (like this roleplay podcast) you could personalize it for the topic. For example if it was a box with a loud mouth it could have a dice (d20) on it, or if we did a cooking podcast in the future the loud box has a chefs hat or something. Basically cover art that can be updated if we start doing additional topics. But to start with, we need some really good base artwork that would make you stop scrolling and take notice. I included some attachments of our different brand styles. We don't want it copied, just used as inspiration for ideas.
I like clean, bold designs rather than TONS of detail which might get lost on cover art on a phone screen. The wn.PNG is a good example of bold but not too busy I think. For colours, if you're using the cardboard box it'd be just the standard lighter brown of a box. My personal favourite colours are reds and golds. I've tried to be specific where it matters but I'm really curious to see how people will get creative and what they'll come up with!
