What's your vision?
We’re looking for fresh ideas to better showcase and market one of our most popular product lines on our e-commerce website. The PTAC (hotel style) equipment is currently shown on our product pages in the format of a template that starts with a section called “Highlights” and ends just above the “Specification” section (see attached images that show the typical exact top and bottom border for this scope). We desire a clear and attractive message displayed on that section of our page. The content of each page template shall remain in the new design. We’re looking for a new layout style, updated size/scale of text/graphics, and you may even play with the hierarchical arrangement if it helps the content read better. Below is some guidance for your design: - We're looking for some "wow" factor in both a contemporary design and in the brilliant clarity on the value of what a customer is considering to buy. Feel free to use new design techniques, transparency, overlay, etc. to give it that impactful feel. - You may add a “hero” image at the top with stock photography. Preferred home interior style is rustic/industrial modern. -Keep the Blueridge brand/logo “present” throughout the page within the Highlights section. -You may use mountain landscapes as backgrounds as long as it is subtle. -You may re-illustrate the installation steps shown as long as the same information is clearly conveyed the same way or better. We're looking for a better installation steps section. The bounce left to right on the screen is not favorable, especially when transitioning on a responsive site to mobile. For example, a simple layout with 4 steps shown across left-to-right on desktop and stacked vertically top-to-bottom on mobile will be more favorable. -Within the scope area, you may adjust the content order as you see fit top to bottom. Use your best judgement on a proper hierarchy of information as if you wanted to buy the equipment. -You may update, change, or recolor existing illustrations as long as each convey the same message and doesn't clash with the current brand. Be sure all existing content and copy is shown in your design. -Examine the content carefully and imagine yourself as someone interested in buying this equipment. Understand how and where it is installed. Check your design by being able to convey the core value message in a matter of seconds. For context (not for literal use in your design), people who have older homes with radiator heat find these air conditioners (and heat pumps) attractive because they don't require the costly duct installation throughout the home. Plus, they are more attractive and better than window AC units. -Know that this website only ships products to addresses in the continental United States, so that's your audience. -You may set a new thumbnail position for the videos that works better with your design. You may also change the dimensions of the placeholders as you see fit. -Maintain the existing styles of the HIGHLIGHTS and SPECIFICATION headers as well as the navigation bar above HIGHLIGHTS to how our live site displays it. Only the content in between those headers can be changed. Existing Page Variants (three-page design required: one page design for ONE MOBILE for either page and ONE DESKTOP for each variant): Blueridge PTAC Stand-alone Example: https://www.alpinehomeair.com/viewproduct.cfm?productID=453076636 Blueridge PTAC Kit Example: https://www.alpinehomeair.com/viewproduct.cfm?productID=453076632
We would like you to explore clever design options that work for both the desktop and mobile experiences and we expect that both desktop and mobile experiences are rendered separately in your design output. This design will be coded on a site that is responsive to automatically change the layout based on the detection of the device browsing the page. Please design desktop and mobile to these general page dimensions: Desktop (web): 1440 px wide; 126px margins; 12 column grid with 20px gutters Mobile (web): 375px wide; 20px margins; 12 column grid with 6px gutters. You may refer to the style guide links below. These are for reference only for our new responsive site. We still want you to explore outside of this if needed to have a design that compliments the site well.
