The case should have a modern, edged and clean look. It should be as small as possible. It should be comfortable applicable.
The design of the case should be molded in a way, so it is applicable to adults, but also children.
The design could consist of two identical molded fingerclips, which can be interconnected by a short cable. The cabel must not be removable by the user.
The second idea is a double-fingerclip, where both fingers get attached into one single case. This design is more desirable.
Two fingers are needed because the measurement of the skin-conductance is applied on two adjacent fingers. Measuring is done by two electrodes which are directly soldered to the PCB (see Image1.jpg). So the case needs cutouts for the electrodes which have to contact the skin.
For the measurement of the pulse there are two LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) soldered on the PCB (see Image1 and Image2.jpg). There also have to be cutouts for these diodes.
Last but not least for measurement of the temperature there is a sensor (see Image2.jpg) which also has to have direct skin-contact. Therefore here's also a cutout needed.
The orientation of the PCBs is following: The PCB with the sensors for temperature and skin-conductance is on the bottom side of the design. The sensors have direct skin-contact to the bottom side of one finger.
The second PCB with the LED on it, is on the top side of the finger. The LED has direct skin contact to the top side of the finger and should be in direct opposite to the LED soldered on the PCB in the bottom.
The PCB consists of two pieces which are interconnected within one fingerclip. There is a 3D-file and a picture of the cable attached (see Image3.jpg). The length of the cable is variable, depending on the case design. On the top of the design there is also a display, which has to be taken into account to the case design (see Image4.jpg). There is also a micro-USB connector (see Image5.jpg)
So in one fingerclip there will be both PCBs, while in the second fingerclip the battery will be placed. The battery has a size of 37mm x 27mm x 6mm. In the second fingerclip there also has to be one electrode for the skin-conductance measurement on the bottom side.
