mhil needed a new other design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 157 designs submitted by 36 freelance designers.
Transcapitalist
http://www.transcapitalist.com is a blog that discusses technology platforms that demonstrate free-market approaches to solving problems. Specifically, we often profile prediction markets, social lending, peer-to-peer e-commerce, and decision-making tools.
Our audience is largely composed of 20-30 somethings interested in technology issues. I would like the site to convey authority and creativity to this audience.
918 px wide header (height is more flexible) with a creative wording of "Transcapitalist" or the word simply put next to a neat icon. Looking for something not too corporate OR too web 2.0, but distinctive and creative. Please do not capitalize the "C", i.e., it's NOT TransCapitalist.
I am open to an entirely new color scheme.
Please design keeping in mind that directly below the header will be a navigation bar (as can be seen on the site currently--http://www.transcapitalist.com). The color of that bar can definitely change.
This is a blog that is optimistic about capitalism.
The tagline should read: Exploring how technology can further open and free markets
Style-wise, I would like a clean, professional, modern look. Nothing too literal or cheesy.
I would like the artwork in vector format at the end.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the creative responses to this contest!
