Revised website header - schools related

This site is about online communication tools for schools. We have developed a range of communication tools, both email based and website based specifically for schools to use to better communicate with their schools communities.

For them it is about better communications while saving time and money.

Schools - specifically the administration staff who do most of the communication with parents and students.

I need a new website header to replace the existing one (attached). It needs to be the same size as this one, but I would like it to have some "Wow Factor" - at the moment is doesn't say anything and the logo means nothing in terms of what the website is about and what it does.

So, you can consider the following:

1. The header needs to be the same size as the current one
2. It needs to fit in with the look and feel of the site
3. You can use the existing background of the current header or design from scratch - whatever you think looks best - I am open to ideas
4. The search box on the right hand side can be removed
5. The logo on the left hand side needs to be completely redone - I need a logo that refers to what the site is about - ie: schools and communications
6. The text needs to stay the same - ie: "School Sites.com.au" and "Tools For Schools"
7. I am completely open in terms of fonts and presentation etc.
8. The header still needs to be clean and reasonably simple, but still have the "Wow Factor"
9. I can provide a psd of the background if necessary
