WHAT WE NEED - AT A GLANCE
We need 4 featured content panels for our new website, designed on our base template (PanelTemplate.psd attached) to communicate what we do and what we believe.
Text and information about what each image needs to convey is in PanelDesignText.doc (attached).
KEY DESIGN OBJECTIVES
Our KEY design objective is that our website visitors should be able to understand what we do and what we believe at a glance. So each panel needs to tell a strong, visual story.
Our SECONDARY design objective is to communicate our BUSINESS consulting heritage. We offer websites and technology but one of our unique selling points is our commercial knowledge and skill.
OUR THIRD design objective is to communicate the BIG/SMALL theme and central metaphor of our business.
-Each panel should work as a standalone item, but we do want elements of consistency across the four panels so that they work well together.
- We are open to an illustrated , typographic or photographic treatment of the panels.
- The panels must use our attached .psd template and need to preserve the rhombus-shape on the right hand side because this is integral to the website design.
- The design should use our corporate colours, but not be limited to them. We are open to the introduction of new colours to create an element of differentiation and interest. Our corporate colours are described in Goliath_Proof_Sheet.pdf (attached).
-We are open to font choices - we are use Handel for our logo and currently are experimenting with Agency FB for other collateral.
THINGS WE ABSOLUTELY DON'T WANT
We want to avoid cliched business imagery. Unless you can create a VERY DIFFERENT approach to it, we don't want anything with:
-Men in suits looking decisive.
-Men shaking hands with each other.
-Happy, smiling teams.
-Happy, smiling call-centre agents.
-Road signs showing the way forward to growth.
-People looking out to the horizon with binoculars or telescopes.
Grrr - just thinking about that stuff gets us annoyed.
