We run a ranch rodeo where regular work-a-day cowboys compete for a lot of money.
People who like rodeo.
We need a solid conversion of a bronc ride pic into a stylized vector graphic. The goal will be ONE graphic, but we have a number of pictures that could be used as the source. The challenge is how to capture the energy of the ride (the horse, the cowboy) and use as few solid colors as possible and still get the personality and depth.
The BRONC RIDE #1 picture is famous in our rodeo's history. It was the winning ride from the first year. Notice how incredibly high the horse has jumped, and posture of the horse is unusual. Years later, people still talk about this ride. However, the angle of the horse head makes it graphically challenging. If someone was able to simulate this ride (per the picture) and rotate it or reposition the head to make it easier to convert, that would be a cool trick.
Using ANY of the attached photos would ensure that they are unique rides from our competition if they would afford a better look.
We tend to think that the design would require at least 4 colors, but fewer are welcome. We also are expecting monochromatic sets... probably earth tones, but the end result needs to work when converted to black-n-white, too. Using more than 4 colors is acceptable, but we're needing to find the balance between detail and boldness AS WELL AS something that can scale down to a fairly small size.
This is not a LOGO. Just a stylized rastor to vector conversion.
