What's your vision?
I need a cover design for an ebook which will be titled "The SPDY Book". The topic of the book is SPDY (pronounced "speedy"). SPDY is a replacement for the HTTP protocol on which the web runs. The primary goal of the SPDY protocol is to speed up web page load times. As such, I would like the design of the cover to evoke a feeling of speed. This will never be printed, but should aim to fit around 8.5x11 inches (the title should read OK in thumbnail format as well). I had thought of a simple design with just the title and a single hot-rod flame at the bottom of the page. I had also thought of circuit board connections being used to convey the transfer of information. I do *not* want to see the word "SPeeDY" spelled out, I am more interested in a design that evokes the idea of speed rather than stating it explicitly. It would be nice to somehow communicate the concept that SPDY is replacing HTTP, but that is definitely secondary to the idea of Speed and the web.
