BigFishNetwork needed a new other design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 28 designs submitted by 12 freelance designers.
Big Fish Facebook App
We are a small group that is building a Facebook app called Big Fish.
We are using this design contest to qualify designers for helping us with many other graphics that we will require for the app. So, consequently, this contest could lead to a significant amount of work in the next couple of months for whoever wins it.
Apologies for the initial low prize. We have increased from $100 - $300
Our Facebook app targets American high school students ( ages 14 - 18 ).
Basically, the app will be a place where they can list their academic, artistic, athletic and other school-related achievements. We will score their achievements and then give them a series of rankings so they can know how they compare against all participating students in their school, region, state or even in the whole country.
Our app will appeal to students' natural pride in their accomplishments and will have the feel of a game. In addition, our app will provide opportunities for these students to be introduced to some of the best colleges and universities in the US as well as scholarships that they can use to pay for their higher education.
Another way of thinking of Big Fish is kind of like a combination between a Facebook game such as Farmville and a resume-based social networking site such as LinkedIn.
We are looking for a title page graphic. This will be the first thing that many people see about our Facebook App.
1) It should be 760 pixels wide and 730 pixels high.
2) It should have a border around the outside
3) It should be "cartoony" much like the graphics that Farmville and Frontierville use.
4) It should have the following elements:
(I will also share these in an attached image)
A) a BigFish logo in the upper left hand corner (We don't have this - you will need to design this)
B) a pond-life background
C) a university don in the upper right hand corner who is fishing with a fishing pole and attempting to catch a fish in the lower left hand corner
D) a verbal description of the BigFish 3 step process in the center of the graphic
E) a "Start Now" button in the lower right hand corner
