We would like to design a disposable placemat for families to use with young children while they are out and about or at home. The disposable placemat is made of biodegradable material with 4 adhesive strips on each edge of the placemat. We are looking to make unique designs for babies and toddlers that is interesting as well as educational. We have been working on a few concepts but have come to a road block in design ideas. Here are the ideas we have had so far:
- ABC's with corresponding animals (ex: A is for Ant, B is for Bear, etc)
- Number with corresponding items for counting (Ex: The number 2 with two watermelons next to it).
- A place setting with a compartment plate like the popular ones on the market right now. This one would have the compartment place, a space for a glass, fork and knife, and educational or fun designs on it. Maybe the plate could be in the shape of an animal head like a bear and put "B is for Bear" on the mat? Looking to try animals that have not been done so much...
- We have also thought about connecting items through a little path so the kids can play on the map. Like train tracks, a maze, a pathway, etc. Something they need to follow to the end.
We are looking to nursery feel but not exclusively like that. We want it to attract use for babies and toddlers.
We would like our logo on the design somewhere but not as the centre of attention.
