What's your vision?
We need to business to business catalog designed. This catalog will be distributed to our Manufacturers Rep Firms as well as directly to Toy Store Retailers across the US and eventually in Europe as well. The catalog will be updated 2X per year as we continue to grow and ad new products. The catalog will include images, and in some cases descriptions as well, of all our products across multiple categories. The catalog will not include prices, these will be distributed in an accompanying price list, however each product will have its SKU along with its UPC bar code so that a rep or retailer can scan the catalog with a bar code scanner to place an order. We want our catalog to be somewhat aspirational-we want the reader to envision their own children or their customers children using and experiencing such high quality products. It should convey elegance, quality, craftsmanship and the fact that our furniture is what we call heirloom quality but also be contemporary and perhaps even somewhat modern-definitely not antiqued or out of date despite the fact that our furniture is designed using traditional furniture design styles (craftsman, victorian, windsor, cape code, amish and others). Need to find a balance. Its not clear at this time how many pages the catalog will have. We want to have the following catalog sections designed-Front page, an inside cover page with a table of contents an opposing page (to the table of contents page) with about us information on the firm and our awards and then two different category sections each consisting of 2 opposing pages. We have 3 categories of product right now-Doll Beds, Doll Furniture & Doll Accessories. We are thinking that each section will be color coded, but this is an idea and not a requirement. We have uploaded a number of catalogs that have various features we like. We have identified those features in the other comment section.
Here are comments on the catalog samples uploaded- Adora-note the table of contents page and the about us pages. The Puppet Company-UPC bar codes with SKU #s right above. Very little in the way of descriptions, just a title with a large picture. Nearly every page has a child with the product. Schylling-2 page layout (which is what we want) logo on every two pages. Category call out. minimum descriptions using bullet points (some products will need bullet points, others not, design should be flexible to accommodate both). ogo sport-like the design style of the top area on each page with products below. Could take up less room though. LaserPegs-brand on every page, contact info on the bottom of every page (in our case, since we are doing a 2 page layout like Schylling, logo could be on page 1, contact info on page 2) PlayWow-Sections called out in tabs at the top, description includes dimensions. We need to have both package dimensions as well as product dimensions for every product. colorbok-same design style throughout yet each section (in their case brand) has different colors and slight modification to reflect each different brand. We dont have separate brands, but want to distinguish between the different product categories. Art101-what we DONT want-very bland. etch a sketch-another example of 2 page layout design. logo on every other page. Kid Galaxy-consistent background design style throughout (top and bottom "wave" which changes as the brand/category changes). 2 page layout, SKU above bar code. bullet point descriptions. HexBug-consistent design style throughout.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Other business or advertising starts at $199.
