Create a simplistic, comforting ebook front cover, layout and theme for funeral home

Busch Funeral Home and Crematory Services is a family owned and operated business in Cleveland, OH. We have a staff of caring counselors to assist families with advanced preplanning and at-need funeral services. Please view our website at buschcares.com.

We are requesting the design of an ebook front cover and layout. After design is complete, we will add 16 pages worth of content broken up across 6 chapters. The ebook is titled, “Cremation Costs Explained: How to Get the Best Value Without Sacrificing Service.” Please note that the second half of the title “How to Get the Best Value Without Sacrificing Service” should represent more of a subtitle. We’d like a fully designed front page included with the ebook title, our logo, a photo, typesetting and any other recommended design elements. We need the layout to areas for copy, images, pullout quotes etc. Please leave space for paragraphs of text, plus section headers. On the top of each page, please include the title of the ebook with some sort of design element to make it stand out and separate it from the overall text. In addition, we request chapter pages that would break-up copy and differ slightly from the design on all primary text pages. The file would ideally be an InDesign file, which you would pass to us to add the content. We will only be including this on the web as a downloadable piece of content, so our final file will be a PDF.

Design / brand standards: We use photos of nature and other comforting settings. We primarily use the Lato font family, but you are free to explore alternative options, as long as they are simple, easy-to-read fonts. Our primary brand color is midnight blue (RGB: 15, 67, 125 / HEX #: 0f437d), and secondary color is white (RGB: 255, 255, 255). Other colors to consider include earthy tones and red for accent colors. We are looking for a modern feel, but please keep in mind the sensitive nature of our ebook. It must appear professional, yet consumer friendly.
