Our TripGuides present creative daily itineraries in your favorite destinations. With custom routes, thoughtful local insight & expertly-curated recommendations, we design incredible days to help you make the most of every moment. Previously, our TripGuides have just been housed within our web app. Now, we're expanding to the physical realm with pocket-sized TripGuides that compliment the app. We're looking for a super creative inDesign template that we can re-use & customize per-destination. Our target is upper millennials (25-35 year olds) and the people who love them.
What's your vision?
I'm looking for a reusable inDesign template for our TripGuides that I can easily customize to the destination & clients. Based on my current mock-up, this consists of 8 pages total, however we are open to more or less pages: Cover (front/back) Table of Contents (1 page) Place Intro (2 pages) 1 Itinerary Template (2 pages) 1 Map Template (2 pages) The booklet will be 3.5" x 5" inches. It will be printed on non-glossy & in full color. The goal? To visually tell the story of a trip & make it something pretty enough to present as a gift or keep as a souvenir. The attached TripGuide Template InDesign doc shows all these pages with their necessary content. We are not married to any of the current design, but it does reflect the artistic/boutique tone we like. In a nutshell: The Cover Template: should sport the trip name (customized per-client) and should highlight a photo or artwork that celebrates the destination. The Table of Contents Page: Lists the titles of the daily agendas The Day Intro Template (spans 2 pages): Introduces a day & has a paragraph of content introducing the day. The Itinerary Template (spans 2 pages): Lays out the ideal day step by step with a picture and a small blurb. The Map Template (spans 2 pages): Has a map with the recommendations for that day plotted, plus a list of the place names with their address in a legend.
I am open to ideas in regards to everything from imagery to fonts to color schemes, to you-name-it! My amateur inDesign attempt is attached and should help communicate the style we dig, along with our logo and some "frills" I like from our designer Vichcraft (http://www.vichcraft.com/) who did some hand drawn elements. Thanks in advance for saving the day with your mad inDesign chops!
