One of the labs we have created has elementary students look at different animals based on inherited traits. We need pictures of a mom and dad and three offspring that students can look at see different inherited traits (i.e. they see one pup has blue eyes because the mom has blue eyes). We have pictures already, but the pictures don't show enough details for students to successfully sort the cards by inherited traits.
We need the attached 8 images made into Photoshop images with a mom, a dad and three offspring. The attachment has an image to start with and a description of what needs to be completed. In total, we will need 40 different images.
We are looking for drawings based on the photographs (attached) rather than edited photographs. Our thought is that an artist could draw 1 animal (say, for example, a male adult dog) and then simply modify that original drawing by changing colors, length of legs, length of body, etc. to make the other animals (for example, the female adult dog, and the different pups) in that family group. We need drawings instead of pictures because the photographs were either blurry or showed the animals in different positions. These differences in the photographs made it difficult for young children to compare the different traits. We want images of each member of the family in the same pose (a full body side profile) so children focusing on identifying big similarities or differences like hair color, eye color, hair texture or length, things like that. You can take some artistic license with the details of the image.
