What's your vision?
We need a cover illustration for our upcoming book Writing With Skill, Level Three. The illustration should be in the same style as the first two books in the series (files attached). This is a middle- and high school level instructional text, teaching expository writing. Much of the instruction focuses on cause and effect paragraphs and papers. Each cover has an illustration drawn from an assigned lesson, along with text suggesting the focus of that particular level. We need an illustration of Galileo on top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, dropping a ball off the tower. The ball will need to be near the ground. Between Galileo and the ground, the following words will be superimposed: consequently because therefore so that cause reason effect thus since as a result if . . . then The finished illustration will need to be in full color. However, we are happy to see black and white sketches in proposal, as long as the artist is prepared to finish the illustration by colorizing it.
The illustration should be semi-realistic, but have some fun--it can have cartoon-like elements.

Halvir somehow reached into my head and pulled out exactly what I was looking for. The design she did was literally a scene from my novel. I was amazed. She was great about working with me for the small adjustments I requested of her. She is highly recommended.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
