Reboot Illinois

Reboot Illinois aims to encourage citizens to retake ownership of our governments. Through non-partisan digital and social media.

The audience will be very broad but targeted to mainly social media. We would like these to be viral images that we can share weekly. They should be appealing to college aged social users through middle age and late age users alike. It should be funny, draw emotional grievance and drive people to want to take action.

“We are looking to have a designer create template designs for a new content product we are looking to launch that will be a top 10 list. Basically, it will be a top 10 list on one of our reform area topics as you will see in details below. The list will have a specific, editable headline and then the list of 10 short sentences will follow underneath. We want the templates to establish an immediate emotional connection to one of four problem areas in need of reform in the broken state of Illinois: state debt and taxes, corruption, improving schools or improving the jobs climate. These should be humorous in tone and really catchy. People should get a fairly feminine, young, modern, playful, loud and direct feel from the templates. They should see these templates and feel empowered, upset, or tickled. They should want to take an action to share the template or comment on it or like it in social media or about how to be activated, i.e. sign a petition or send a message to a legislator to drive change. The colors should have a similar look/feel to our site and be bold and compelling. People who see this should be able to see it again even in a glimpse and immediately recognize and associate it with the Reboot brand and know that it's a product of Reboot Illinois.

We need 1 templates that we can add a headline and top 10 list to and change the copy on the fly and post weekly. So the design is really for the shell that holds different headlines and lists. The template will be based on one of the four main topics we really cover on our site. This template will be for Corruption, the image should be strong and very apparent and relevant to the topic of corruption mainly around the dysfunction it has caused in the state of Illinois

We seek 1 Corruption teamplate and it should be similar to the shape of an index card that can hold an art element, the headline and a list of 10 short sentences. Each should be Corruption in Illinois focused. Feel free to use iconic representations of the topics, I.e. people, places, things, that represent those topics. Most of the box will be filled with the rotating headline and text so your focus should be on the design of the box and art element, keeping in mind text will be added and must be easily readable.

The template should have appeal to a wide array of personas across social media, from young millenials to middle and older citizens.

Also, each of the templates should have multiple formats for the various channels i.e. FB, Twitter, Pinterest, and our site.. For best pixel sizes see below-
