Slot Machine Game "Jackpot Slots" Needs iPad App

Games & Recreational
This is a slot machine game for iPad call "Jackpot Slots". Players receive virtual credits to play with. The game emulates a slot machine with spinning wheels, pay tables, and bonuses. I'm looking for 4 screens. I'll refer to them as the "Home screen", "Slots game", "Payments page", and "Options".
For the slot machine page, I'm looking for a tropical island theme. The actual symbols on the wheels will be things like: sandcastle, bunch of bananas, monkey, palm tree, deserted island, starfish, and tropical fish. For the framing around the wheels, I'd like to see tropical island themed objects. Examples would be tiki torches, or bamboo huts, or palm trees, and sand beaches. For the main menu screen, I'm not as particular, but anything to make it feel sophisticated is good. Deep blues, gold, and wood paneling are probably good choices. Of the various reference art I provided, the egyptian version feels the most polished and sophisticated to me (good). The slotomania screen is the most cartoony and goofy. That style is _not_ what I'm looking for. The pirate themed one is in the middle and I could be happy with something like that as well. The background and ui around it should match that theme. Backgrounds designed to animate lightly is better. In general, adding more graphical elements and doodads is good as long as they don't distract from the purpose of the game (spin the wheel, spend money). Mass-market colors and shapes are good. (More rounded, strokes to highlight the silhouette, bright colors). The other three screens (main menu, purchase page, and options page) should all be a bit more abstract. There should still be some visual elements to distract the eye and busy up the screen, but they need to be more generic.
Home screen: The home screen is where players can choose which slots game they want to play, as well as collect a free bonus. Once they choose the particular slots game (they will vary by theme and fiction), the player enters the slots game screen. They key thing to emphasize on the home screen are the treasure chests above the game selection area. These treasure chests represent a free bonus that players can collect every 4 hours. By default, they are able to open up one treasure chest every 4 hours. To unlock additional chests to open, players need to add friends to the game. Tapping on a not-yet unlocked chest should open an invite friend prompt. The free treasure chest mechanic is designed to encourage players to come back and play the game multiple times a day. The "add friend to unlock more bonuses" mechanic is to incentivize adding friends. Getting these two messages (play more often and add friends) across is the most important objective on this screen. The different slot machine games will be represented by colorful pictures that match the theme of the game. That part of the screen should be obvious as long as they look like buttons and not just pictures. I've included a screenshot of an existing home screen from another game for comparison. Functionally, it's solid. The overall colors are too dark. It also don't draw a lot of emphasis to the bonus and add friend part of the game. Slots game: The primary action here is the "spin" button. By default, auto-spin is enabled, meaning the game will continue playing until the player triggers a mini-game (not part of this design), or wins a jackpot, or stops autospin. Any time the players wins enough money to hit a jackpot, they will receive a collection item. Collecting all the items unlocks the next machine. (The other slots game fictions we will eventually have will include: fruits, safari animals, farm animals, restaurant/food, egypt, knights, fairies, and wild west. - Not part of this design). The other gameplay element that players will unlock are boosts. Players unlock boosts by hitting jackpots. Once activated, boosts will improve the player's winnings. Example boost mechanics include (double all winnings, turn a given symbol into a wild, free spins on certain line combinations). The primary focus on this screen is to make the slots gameplay obvious. Players hit spin. The wheels go. Players win a certain amount of money. All the numbers get updated. Spin again. There will be no tutorial or guided play, so this interface has to be obvious and self-explanatory. Both of the example slot games screens I attached execute on the look very well. Payments page: The payments page should feel exciting and glamorous, but be less visually cluttered than the slots game. The example I attached is a decent example of the feel. I'd like something a bit more exciting (maybe coins falling down or some bright lights around the outside). The payments page should highlight the fact that purchasing a larger package provides a better value. Options: This screen should be clean, simple, and functional. It should be obvious which settings are on and off. The look and UI should match the home screen. Wireframe and prototype: I have attached a pdf with wireframes of the four screens I'm looking for. There is also a link to a prototype with the flows working and some of the buttons working. The only object whose absolute size I care about are the pictures that go on the wheel. Each icon should be 160px by 170px. Everything else is approximate and you should only consider the wireframe as a rough guide. None of the colors or shapes should be taken seriously. Feel free to adjust layouts to match the purposes that I outlined above. https://foxcub.proto.io/share/?id=fd576dba-fff4-41df-a12a-fc7e0655d5e9&v=4 This prototype is interactive, so click around. If you haven't played any slot machine games before, I recommend trying out Slotomania or Pharaoh Slots, both of which are free on the iOS app store. This competition is only for the design of the first slot machine (there will be a total of 8 for launch) and the 3 general screens. After the competition, I will be looking for designers to do additional (paid) work for the other slot machines, as well as animations, minigames, collections, and boosts. There will likely be enough work for more than one person. Our company will also be designing other (non-slots) games in the future.
What to avoid
I am looking for a mass market slot machine feel. Think of the kind you'd see in vegas. Please do not submit any minimalistic designs. Please don't use dark/subdued colors. Please don't restrict yourself to the standard iOS button shapes and colors. Breaking the mold is good here.
