Preyes got their new app design by running a design contest:
Phone App for paramedics

Medical & Pharmaceutical
The objective of this app is for a public emergency service (911 type of) to be able to coordinate with the ambulances/helicopters/firework ... so that they can follow the position of injured people from the call up to the delivery at the hospital. The app would be used in case of medium to massive emergency (10+ injured people needs a particular organisation).
The app needs to be very user friendly and very intuitive since the users (paramedics) will only use it in case of high emergency (ore that 10 injured people at one time). Those kind of situation do not happen more than once a month so the app needs to be very intuitive because the paramedics will forget from one month to the other
The process is the following: 1) Login: this is the step were the paramed will identify itself as well as selecting from a list the role he will have on this intervention (could be Ambulance Leader (AL), Patient Sorter (PTRI) etc. This is done on the login screen and using the login_role list (see attachement). 2) Once identified, the paramedic will see a list of patients that have already been registered for this emergency (see patient_list attachement). From there he will click on a patient and access the detail for this patient. 3) Once on the detail patient page (see detail_patient attachement), the paramedic can edit the form and in particular launch a "NORIA". A Noria is the international name for moving a patient from point A to point B. So defining a noria from the emergency site to hospital X for example. He can cancel an existing Noria etc. On this screen he has (as of today but all suggestions are welcome) only one action button that allows him to access the different actions he can perform from this screen (see patient_detail_action attachment). If the paramedic scrolls down he can see the comments for this patient as well as a map that shows the last recorded patient location. 4) The last screen shows a map that gives the paramedic an overall fullscreen view of the situation incluing all patients and parameds handling the intervention.
