I just want to say that Hanz is an absolutely amazing designer. Not only was he the winner of our contest, he had the winning template designed in under 8 hours (of the contest starting) including the sub page. Maybe 2 extra hours for final tweaks at the end of contest. He also needed the least direction out of all the other designers.
We will certainly be hiring Hanz the next time around. We intentionally used a limited detail brief to test designers abilities with limited direction. He far exceed our expectations and came up with an amazing design.
A grade of A+ wouldn't do him justice. So much better than that!

How Pgoetz started their app design journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Medical & Pharmaceutical
This is a video recording application for medicine, specifically endoscopic video. It records video and provides screens for managing the recorded files including a sophisticated video player and creates reports. It also integrates with Electronic Medical Record Systems.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the app?
We want a modern, fresh fun interface. Something extremely modern compared to typical medical applications.
This 99 design contest is to redesign several User Interface components for our video capture and viewing application. The goal of this project is to unify the functionality, UX and design style of the D-Scope desktop, browser and mobile platforms as well as enhance the capture interface to provide improved visual cues for recording, marking and tagging of sections during recording.
This will include supporting the following functionalities across all three platforms:
- Graphical Annotation (currently available in browser only)
- Video marking and meta data association (currently available in desktop advanced player)
- Viewing marked sections of a video and identifying associated tags (currently available in desktop advanced player)
- Viewing up to 6 video streams simultaneously during review (currently available in desktop only)
- Accessing markers and index points of 6 videos being viewed. (new feature to all platforms)
Video aspect ratio needs to support both 4:3 and 16:9
Capture interface does not need to include the file tree (left tool bar) or image thumbnail tray (bottom tray) that are in the current interface.
Which screens are needed?
The Capture screen & the Advanced Player.
