The core experience is understanding a topic through cards. (SCREEN #1)
The entry point, though, is a super-condensed visual summary twice daily that helps bring you up to date and also acts as a way for you to find new interesting topics. (SCREEN #2)
Finally, we want to gamify the experience, and we want to start by having a cool personal profile where you can see how you levelup. (SCREEN #3)
FIRST: UNDERSTAND A TOPIC ! VISUALLY-BEAUTIFUL IN-DEPTH CONTEXT: Truly understand the CONTEXT of a topic in depth and fast through intelligent cards
You can see more info here:
You can see our sample design here:
1. You can download them for later or Add them to your playlist(s) to have them read to you by a reading bot.
2. Swipe to the right if you like, swipe to the left if you don't. We will try to adapt to your taste without creating the FILTER BUBBLE : http://www.ted.com/talks/eli_parise…anguage=en
3. React to each card by sharing your feelings with a single click, Share the card or go in-depth into the full-article/details/comments : THIRD SCREEN
4. Share the topic or recommend extra links/context you think this topic is missing.
SECOND SCREEN: GAMIFIED DEFINITIVE SUMMARY OF THE DAY’S TOP NEWS
You can access a description of our initial idea for this screen from here:
It is based on Yahoo New Digest and should also work as a substitute for our list of TOPICS: http://www.vox.com/cards
THIRD: GAMIFICATION PROFILE OF THE READER
You can see a little more description here:
You gain access to extra features and content and you gain reputation in at least 3 dimensions:
Knowledgeable: You read articles in depth. You suggest good improvements/relevant extra-context.
Influential: Your comments are well received and you share the info with a lot of other influential people.
Change-maker: You act on the positive actions suggested by the editors + community.
And you can gain rewards that are valued economically as Pseudo-money.
You can pay for POWER-APPs / Power ups that you can visualize here:
Some of these power apps are free, and others cost 49cents a month (the auto-reader playlists + download to read later), and you can gain access to them with the money you earn or by paying a subcription.
This was our initial test so that you may visualize our objective and have more context. The idea is for you to take it and improve all the elements you find are not optimal or redesign it from scratch: We have no attachment to i! :)
