Design a forum application for university students

Education

An application for university students. Main function is that it is a mobile forum for all the courses in your university. (no affiliated with any university). Note that for now just assume it is an app for a single university (use Queen's University as an example).

Clean design is really my only requirement.

Screen 1: Sign up screen. The fields should have the following fields: Name University email Password Screen 2: Profile page: This page will have the user's profile picture (with 2 options under or beside the image: Upload photo, or Take a picture), and 3 buttons that link to other parts of the application: 1. All Courses, 2. My courses, 3. My questions, 4. My answers. The "All Courses" button should be different than the others (it should stand out more somehow) Screen 3: "Settings" The page for a single course (note that a list of all courses will be available to the user, but you don't need to design that, it is just a simple list, I will design it myself). It should have the course code (use APSC111 as an example), a tick box indicating whether or not the user is "Subscribed" to that course, a on/off switch indication whether or not the user wants notifications for this course, and lastly the number of users that have subscribed to this course (use any random number as an example). On the bottom of this screen, there should be 3 tabs: Settings, Forum, and Chat. This screen is of course the "Settings" screen, so that tab should be highlighted. Screen 4: "Forum" This is a forum question for a single question (a list of questions will also be part of the app, but that is simple enough, I will design it myself). So the question itself will be present, the user who posted the question, a clickable image thumbnail (if the user decides to upload an image with the question). Below that is a scrollable list of answers that other users have answered. The answers contain the answer itself, the user who posted the answer, and a clickable image thumbnail if the user decides to upload an image with the answer. There should also be somewhere directly below the answer that says "Comments", should be clickable. There will be a 'tick' on the correct answer. So as an example, make the first question the 'correct' one. On the bottom of this screen, there should be 3 tabs: Settings, Forum, and Chat. This screen is of course the "Forum" screen, so that tab should be highlighted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The app actually has a total of 6 screens. But only the 4 mentioned above are to be designed. Here are all the screens for clarity and completeness (and so you get a better sense of what's going on!). (numbering is different than above description) Screen 1: Signup Screen 2: Profile page Screen 3: A list of all the courses for the university. (you do not need to design this) Screen 4: "Settings". When the user clicks on one of the courses from the list from screen 3, he is brought to this screen. This is the "Settings" screen as described above. Screen 5: This is the forum questions page, so when the user clicks the "Forum" tab, it will take them here. The user is presented with a list of questions (i.e. the title's of the questions that other users have asked). The list of questions should show the question title's and perhaps who posted the question (or whatever you think may be best). (you don't need to design this) Screen 6: "Forum". When the user clicks the "Forum" tab, he is taken here. Forum screen is described above. Screen 7: "Chat". When the user clicks the "Chat" tab, he is taken here. (You do not need to design this) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is not necessary, but it would be nice to incorporate the university logo, or name somewhere in the app (e.g. visible at all times like in the action bar, or just in the user's profile somewhere... not sure, let your creativity decide)
