Can't say enough good things about Svetlana. She follows direction well, she's very creative, and fun to work with. And I must say she makes things very easy for developers... designs are very well organized and labeled. Bravo!
How andrew.leahy started their app design journey
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
The app connects college students, faculty and staff members with their campus safety department via voice call, messaging and other features
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the app?
We'd like to draw subtle parallels to our hardware device, which is the other half of our campus safety solution. Nothing obvious or over the top, but rather use the principles and values that guide our hardware development to guide our app development as well. For example, our competitive advantage with our hardware device is simplicity, accessibility and ease-of-use. It is important that our app is accessible and easy-to-use as well. Also, the hardware design is very sleek and cool looking. For a security device focused on students, we go the extra mile to ensure its tiny, cool and beautiful looking (otherwise they may not carry it!). The app should have a very cool, clean and polished look too. Finally, we also like to incorporate circles in our design since our hardware product is circular as well.
1. Landing Page: user can log in or sign up. Users only log in the first time they launch the app. They are automatically brought to the app's main screen every time they launch the app after that, unless they log out.
2. Create Profile: If user clicks "sign up" they are directed to page to input and save their personal information. After saving, they are brought to the app's main screen.
3. Main screen: Here the user can do various features:
a. Make an emergency call - main feature
b. Message campus safety
c. "Find my keys" - user presses this button to make their hardware device start beeping. Presuming the device is on their keys, they can follow the sound to find their keys
d. "Walking Escort" - User selects a destination and that pops up on campus safety screen. Campus safety can virtually "walk a student home."
