Create a design for a new iOS 7 app

FortyTwo is an iPhone app that will allow users to see the most important, entertaining and inspiring videos on their phone. Each day 6 new videos will be selected (1 video for each of the 6 categories: News, Sports, Entertainment, Inspiration, Tech and Science and Comedy). We will only show the last 7 days of videos. 6 times 7 equals 42 hence the name. We will have an editorial approach where we use different techniques to select the most relevant and important videos in order to help people avoid the jungle of billions of videos available online.

We have finished the layout and logic of the GUI and now need to take it to the next level by having great designers work on the final polish.

The design have to be iOS 7 inspired since it will launch on that version.

We have already completed the final logo in another competition and it is included in the attachments. That logo will have to be included all the way from the icon to the overall interface. We are open to using either the logo or just the font designed for it where it makes sense.

iOS 7 should be the main inspiration and theme for the app. Also, since the logo is completed and have to be included in the app it will also have some impact on the rest of the design.

FortyTwo

As you can see from the designs attached the main interface (Daily videos - all new.jpg) is a design of 6 tiles, each representing a video in each category. At the edges of the screen you see previous screens from previous days. To move back and forward you just slide with your finger to go back or forward one day.

When you click on a tile you will launch that movie. After a video have been played you will get to a page (Post video step.jpg) where you give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down. If activated, movies that you like will be shared on FB to your friends.

Once you done this you will go back to the main screen again where the tile you have selected will be faded out/transparent so that you instantly can see which clips you have seen. (Daily videos - 3 seen.jpg)

Behind the tiles (which should have some kind of transparency) we want to have a background designed which moves when you go back or forward. The background will move slower that the tiles to indicate they are different layers.

Another screen to be designed is the launch of the app the first time where you have to create an account or login using FB (Signup Page.jpg)
