alisaJt got their new merchandise by running a design contest:
Children's Placemat Illustration
Check out alisaJt's Merchandise contest…
Products for Children (specifically boys, ages 1-6 years old). These children enjoy identifying animals and moving vehicles (cars, trains, buses, etc).
What's your vision?
CONTESTED EXTENDED 4 DAYS, and changes have been made to brief to increase the quality of submissions. We are still looking! We are seeking a 12" x 18" placemat design for boys, ages 1-6 years old. -Original illustrations desired -PLEASE INCORPORATE ANIMALS into the themes (i.e. animals driving cars, flying planes, playing on beach, etc). It's also okay to have humans! :-) -It should NOT be overly simple. It should be detailed enough that children have many images to discover/explore within the scene. Imagine a child looking at this image for at least 15 minutes! -Images should be very recognizable for young children, and not abstract! -The image should show some form of action (characters are DOING something). It should NOT just be a collection of images/animals/etc thrown onto a nice background. We are willing to consider many different themes. Please pick ONE theme per placemat entry! Here are ones we suggest (*starred ones are of particular interest): ***Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (imagine animals driving these) ***Construction Site/Equipment (imagine animals "building", driving a backhoe, etc. See "Construction Site" inspiration image attached) *Beach scene (think of animals building sand castles, others driving a boat, etc) Airport/Airplanes Playground/Park Please remember, the images should be very recognizable for young children, and not abstract. Please look at inspiration photos for an idea of illustration styles that we enjoy! (note: we are NOT seeking an underwater or farm scene. We just attached those examples to show styles that we like!)
Design should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Merchandise starts at $199.
