About us

We sell an online and hard copy mailout weekly training workbook teaching small business owners how to improve their local area marketing return on investment.

What's your vision?

We really need a new masthead for our workbooks. We love the idea of incorporating the cogs (to represent a machine) made up of all the icons that represent local marketing activities - as in the attached PDF file - however our current version is very low brow and we need to refresh it. The current masthead also looks disjointed. We are not precious about the logo and would prefer a masthead that looks complete - incorporating our title 'Local Marketing Machine' and the design elements mentioned above. Please note we only require the masthead (the section inside the red box in the attachment).

Bold Magazine Design for Intelligent Women
Unlearn Marketing Magazine is a publication with a target audience of female entrepreneurs between the ages 25 and 40. The readers are modern and savvy, and the design needed to emulate the identity of those readers. Women who own businesses are bold and bright. Instead of going with stereotypical feminine colors, I chose bright red and blue to complement the neutral pink-beige and gray colors. The logo was also adjusted to be more updated and show authority. There is a contrast of soft yet assertive in the overall identity, and it feels empowering. I believe these choices work really well in demonstrating the duality women have to juggle in the business world.
