How erinwO started their logo & hosted website journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am a first time author and, while I have a "basic" website up right now, I have a huge appreciation for design and know that it needs to be better. So I'm looking for someone who can re-design/upgrade on my current starter-author-website and give it, well, you'll see what it needs! My book targeted at the "young adult" category, although "adult-adults" seem to be enjoying it... The thing is, the next book is definitely for grownups and is a little dark (think eco-terrorist mermaids!)... so I need something that reflects "Erin the author" as opposed to "the first book: Paige in History" yet somehow makes both appealing? I intend to add some sort of blog/space for new essays/articles etc. too.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts

You can see what I have going already at: http://www.erinmeadows.org
That is basically the content you'll be working with, although I'll add a little extra for this design and then hope to keep adding. I have artwork for the book cover and can send that separately, but for now I'm thinking you can grab it from the existing site?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the logo and hosted website?
I will apologize for the fact that I am not advertising a product or service. All you have to go on is my name! If I'm looking at company logos, I'm drawn to designs that are witty/clever, but not overly so, simple and elegant, but not boring and "classic." Is this enough to help you figure out the perfect font for my name? Yeah... this will either be really easy, or really hard!
The upside is, you get to look at the current version for all content (nearly!)
