We are looking for two things:
1) a Logo that is easily and quickly recognizable and transferable to not just a label on a bag of coffee but across future merchandising such as, mugs, t-shirts, hats. An idea we had for the logo is a wax seal with a regal looking letter "L". The seal is flanked by ribbon on both sides.
2) artwork that can be used on the website. Think about a pizza being removed from a brick oven. But instead of a pizza, it’s a "loaf" of coffee (a bag of coffee wrapped in brown paper with the ribbon and seal on it.) The tag line might be: “There’s nothing like the smell of a freshly roasted loaf of coffee.” Other ideas for the theme of the website could be anything having to do with the import/export of contraband but in a sarcastic, satirical way, since coffee is imported from all over the world. For example: “Our coffee is so good it’s practically illegal.” Or, “This coffee is so good you’ll want to tell all your friends…very quietly.” Or, “This coffee is so good we only pick it up at night.” Or, imagine a picture of a German Shepherd dressed as a police/ATF dog and he’s covered in coffee grounds and surrounded by our torn up wrapping paper/coffee bags, he just tore it all apart. He looks very sad, like he just got scolded. The captions reads, “Our coffee is so good that even Max got confused.”
IMPORTANT: 1) Please keep in mind that the name of the company is "Loaf". We need a logo that brands Loaf as a company. Within Loaf, there are going to be multiple product lines including Loaf Coffee. While the web design will be specifically for Loaf Coffee, we need a logo that will universally brand Loaf as a company AND is flexible enough to take on Loaf Coffee as well the other product lines such as Loaf Apparel or Loaf Clothing or Loaf Lounge or Loaf Supplies or Loaf Jewelry. 2) Please look at the posted pics in the brief to see what a loaf looks like and incorporate it into your logo (and later the website) designs. 3) We have also posted images for ideas for the website. Please look at those so you know the direction in which we would like to go.
