Nathan was a pleasure to work with. He has great design skills and excellent communication skills. He jumped right in and was the first one to submit a design which put him ahead of the pack. He made every revision we asked for (mostly font changes) and then some, and he responded quickly and professionally each and every time. A job well done, Nathan!

Who are you known as?
New Schools for Chicago
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
New Schools for Chicago advocates that every family in Chicago have access to a high-quality school that prepares students for college and life. Our work is both direct in nature - working with schools to improve their outcomes - and indirect by advocating for policies that expand great public school options for families while taking action on the worst performing schools. We also work with families and community members to help them understand how they can amplify their voices to policymakers to demand great schools in their neighborhoods.
Currently, our target audiences for our website are funders, policymakers, and education advocacy partner organizations.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Reds: Energy, action, passion and love.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Our current logo is below and we would like to stick with this color scheme. We do want to stay away from illustrations and we would like a strong Chicago presence in our materials. We only anticipate needing approximately 6-8 pages for our current site with little advanced functionality. Our current site (please don't spend too much time on it...it's embarrassing) is http://www.newschoolsnow.org.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the logo and hosted website?
We do want to stick with our current color scheme, which is the blue and red you see in the logo. We'd like for the site to be firmly rooted in kids (possibly with photography) and clearly a Chicago-based organization.
Jimdo templates to explore
Should convey that we are about kids and schools and we are firmly rooted in Chicago. We should have imagery of schools and/or children. Like the idea of a Chicago skyline incorporated somewhere.
2. What We Do
Should have major goals of the organization. Ideally would have some sort of infographic explaining how through our work, we expect to create 50,000 more high-quality seats in Chicago's public schools by 2020.
3. Who We Are
Needs to creatively list and profile our Board of Directors and Staff.
include links and logos for various resources for parents and schools
