Our brains waves determine every thought, feeling and behavior. These electrical signals or frequencies are labeled Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta & Gamma. Dysregulation & disorganization of these brain waves leads to various challenges and is ultimately caused by a combination of physical, chemical and emtional stressors in-utero or after birth.
Physical stressors include traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) from concussions, strokes or medical procedures like radiation. Chemical stressors includes insults from toxins or nutritional deficiencies. Emotional stressors result psychological trauma experienced by the mom or child during critical periods of neurological development. These stressors combine to form a perfect storm that can lead to emotional, cognitive and behavioral issues like autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, reactive attachment disorder (RAD), anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), sensory processing disorder (SPD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder (BPD), fibromyalgia (FMA), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). This dysregulation can also contribute to other health conditions including migraine headaches, chronic pain, autoimmunity, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, acid reflux, insomnia, high blood pressure, memory loss, epilepsy and seizures. Even in the absence of clinical symptoms, a poorly regulated brain can inhibit school, sports and work performance.
Traditional therapies often address these brain related issues on a biochemical level with medications, however, this approach does not address the underlying causes of the of the brain dysfunction and comes with significant short-term and long-term side effects. The future of brain therapy, altering the bioelectric signals and brain waves, has finally arrived.
The brain is amazingly adaptable and capable of learning through a process known as neuroplasticity. Abnormal brain waves or electrical signals can be disrupted and new waves generated that teach the brain to enhance its function and performance over time. Utilizing state-of-the-art, radiation-free brain imaging techniques, we can map brain waves to determine if there are issues in the brain's circuits and firing patterns. If there are problems, state-of-the-art brain therapy and training can be used to restore normal brain wave patterns & resolve symptoms. We invite you to explore how neurotherapy & neurofeedback can help you or your child.
"In my opinion, if any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy [as neurotherapy] it would be universally accepted and widely used." -Frank H. Duffy, MD Neurologist

We use advanced, radiation-free brain imaging including quantitative electroencephalograms (QEEGs) to map brain waves. These images give us detailed information about the brain's function and let us know if specific brain areas are regulated or dysregulated. This information will guide the neurotherapy.
Once dysregulated brain waves are located they can be disrupted by directing tiny, pulsed electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) at specific brain locations in a pain-free process known as dehabituation or disentrainment. After abnormal brain waves are disrupted, very specific pulsed EMFs are then directed into the brain to introduce the desired waves & electrical patterns. This is known as entrainment. Once the brain is shown ideal firing patterns, it then gets to practice these new brain waves & rhythms using advanced neurofeedback training.
Neurofeedback, also known as EEG biofeedback, is a revolutionary type of brain retraining utilizing operant conditioning & rewards that allows people to permanently change brain waves resulting in amazing changes in brain structure and function. This is the basis of neuroplasticity.
The combination of pulsed EMFs together with neurofeedback is what makes our clinic unique & has been used successfully on both children & adults with a wide-range of neurologically based challenges including epilepsy & seizures, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, bipolar disorder, SPD, ADD, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, autism, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome, migraines, chronic pain, memory loss, chronic fatigue syndrome and traumatic brain injuries like stroke & concussion. It also has applications for issues like acid reflux, high blood pressure, constipation and autoimmune conditions as well as enhancing IQ along with athletic, school and work performance.
Few clinics in the world combine these advanced brain imaging techniques and therapies. Our unique combination results in much faster and more powerful changes than either microcurrent stimulation or traditional neurofeedback alone. In addition, counseling & psychotherapy results can be dramatically enhanced once the brain has been conditioned through neurotherapy & neurofeedback.

After you call to schedule your consultation & brain scan, we will send you a health history form by email to fill out & send back at your earliest convenience. Not only does this save you lots of time on your first visit but it also allows the doctor to review your or your child's challenges and goals from neurotherapy and neurofeedback prior to your first visit.
Your first visit should take approximately an hour. During that time you will take a tour of our brain center, meet & consult with the doctor and receive your state-of-the art brain scan. The brain scan utilizes a non-invasive EEG cap, electrodes and gel to enhance the conduction of brain signals and generate a specific map of your or your child's brain waves and connections.
On your second visit to our office, the doctor will go over the results of your scans and, if needed, recommend an individualized course of care tailored specifically to your or your child's unique needs. If you decide to begin care, your first neurotherapy & neurofeedback session can begin immediately. During the session you or your child may watch a movie or play a game while wearing headphones as the brain receives rewards when it initiates and maintains the proper brain frequencies and rhythms. Each session last 30-60 minutes.
Neurotherapy and neurofeedback training is a dynamic learning process that results in permanent brain changes over time. The amount of sessions required to create new brain patterns varies depending on the age, goals, unique characteristics of the individual's brain, medications, specific health challenges and frequency of care. Changes are often noticed very rapidly, however, neuroplasticity takes time and repetition much like learning to ride a bike. As the brain reorganizes, exacerbations of certain symptoms may occur. This is not uncommon and only temporary. Be sure to let your doctor or neurotherapist know so we can adjust the intensity and frequencies of the neurotherapy and neurofeedback parameters accordingly. It is also not uncommon for the brains and bodies of adults and children to become more sensitive and less dependent on medications. We recommend that you talk to your prescribing doctor before reducing or eliminating any medications.
As the brain changes and learns to function properly, the frequency of the neurotherapy and neurofeedback sessions diminish. Periodic brain scans & reassessments are performed to track progress and guide care.
