LumberOneCorp got their new logo & hosted website by running a design contest:
Create a raw and edgy logo/website for Lumber One (a small sawmill) in hippie town Durango, CO

Dont knock on wood, COUNT ON IT........or something similar
We will start with providing firewood by the cord. Once that is rolling I will start phase 2 where I will harvest trees off some property I'm trying to purchase (or purchase excess logs from trucking companies) and mill those trees into lumber (such as 2x4s, 1x10s, tongue and groove wood flooring, tongue and groove wood interior siding, tongue and groove ceilings). Phase 3 will be providing custom wood products by offering services such as laser cutting/burning/marking of wood products (and other materials such as plastics and even steel and glass). Phase 4 would be to offer highly custom services such as CNC lasering and CNC routing of wood products that result in 3D wood carvings and such. Target audience would range from people who need/use firewood to the DIY homeowner who can use lumber that is somewhat cheaper then Home Depot/Lowes, to artists who would need CNC capabilities in their art, to finally the owners of multi-million dollar homes (ie mountain cabins that are 5000 sqft homes that require custom mouldings and such).
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth. Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
