Remus was a pleasure to work with. He took the time to really understand my preferences communicated through my design brief and created a meaningful logo and website. Remus responded quickly to all requests and offered relevant suggestions based on his design experience. This referral for others to seek Remus' design services is the greatest compliment I can bestow on his work.
How CakeParade started their logo & hosted website journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We specialize in custom cakes for birthdays, celebrations and holidays (not wedding). Our designs are varied, fun, colorful and playful just like what you see in parades and are usually shaped like real objects rather than typical circles or rectangles. We are primarily targeting teenagers and young adults rather than children, but are open to children's cakes as well.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Food & Drink
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Pinks: Intimacy, love, calm and nurture.
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.
Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Our initial idea was of a big cake balloon with people holding the strings underneath and walking like in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. Open to other ideas too though.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the logo and hosted website?
I would like something with bright fun colors and playful fonts. A modern and still sophisticated style that isn't too feminine and is not at all childish. I would prefer to stay away from pink and would prefer blues, teals and greens.
Jimdo templates to explore
Animation on home page is ideal, particularly a Flash rotation of pictures of cakes. The other four pages I would like are: portfolio page of previous cakes; flavors page showing available cake and frosting types; about us page and a contact us page. I would like the website to be fairly shallow (i.e. you don't have to constantly scroll up and down); the Miette website below is a good example of what I like. I also prefer that the menu leading to other pages be across the top underneath the logo rather than along the left side.
