meyer_seh got their new logo design by running a design contest:
young fitness startup is looking for a unique logo
Check out meyer_seh's Logo design contest…
Hello, First, I apologize for any spelling mistakes. We come from Germany, so forgive grammatical errors. We are looking for a logo for a start-up. We are currently in the planning stage and want to offer personal fitness and workouts in the smallest of spaces from mid-2021, hence the name "squarefit" (square meter + fitness = squarefit). We are looking for a logo that visually reflects our name. We basically have no direct idea of the logo, we want to unleash the full creativity of the designer. However, it should be able to integrate into the urban environment of a (large) city and should also be actively perceived there. So it has to be a logo that definitely stands out. The (main) target group is defined between 18 - 50 years old, health and nutrition conscious, open to new, working and also already active members in a classic fitness studio. The logo shouldn't look too childish. The logo should be recognizable from a distance (eye-catcher!), so many small details should be avoided. It should look modern, young, fresh, trendy and sporty, according to the motto “anyone who goes to this company is modern” (I think you know what I mean ;-)). It must definitely be possible to build a brand on the logo. So it should also look great on merchandise, posters, windows, cards, clothing, cars, etc. It is important that it should not look “too overloaded” under any circumstances. The logo has to express a certain seriousness but should still have the typical, light, young start-up charm (we are not looking for a logo that looks like a company that was founded 50 years ago). The most important thing, however, is that it should be unique and definitely not be associated with any other logo. So it really has to be something new that hasn’t been there before. The logo has to fit into our modern times, and most importantly, it should be simple. We want a logo that you have seen once and never forget. It should look good as an app icon on the smartphone and should also stand out between other apps. The color scheme should be consistent; MAXIMUM 3-4 different colors. (A main color that really catches the eye would be an advantage. We think of purple, turquoise, a light green or so. Something that other companies do not yet use inflationary.) We don't currently have a slogan; so it doesn't necessarily have to have one in the logo. But if you come up with something in the creative process that you think would fit the idea and logo perfectly, don't be afraid to submit suggestions with a slogan of yours! I've attached a couple of files to show roughly in which direction the logo should go. ATTENTION: You are also welcome to submit suggestions that have absolutely nothing to do with the examples. We are basically open to everything. I know we have a certain standard, but I think you are the best designers we can find on the internet. I look forward to many suggestions, thank you very much!
