We are a tourism company that targets young, rich Chinese, about 20-40 years old. We will aim to take them on adventures where we go to music festivals, salsa dancing, scuba diving, and other exciting activities. We want the logo to be fun, but also classy for our wealthy clients. YOLO refers to "You Only Live Once", which is really just about living it up while we are here on this earth. And Island, well Island doesn't mean much, but we figure it sounded cool. I guess an island is a sort of an escape from one's day to day life, so you can escape and live it up with our travel company.
For the logo, I think Yolo could be stacked above Island, with Yolo being more emphasized and bolder. There could be some sort of geometrical cadre around it or in the background, but it's not necessary. I'm not sure we need an emblem, but if there is one, something minimal is best. I like the concept of using negative space if possible. Also, based on a lot of design proposals, just because it has the name "Island" in it, doesn't mean we want it to be island themed. Also, we don't want to have mountains or anything like that. Possibly part of a globe or sun.
