How rawdesignr started their logo design journey
Illinois Womens Bar Foundation
The Women’s Bar Foundation was established in 1966 for the purpose of providing “scholarships, awards or other financial aid for the study of law in accredited law schools in the State of Illinois to deserving and qualified women.” The Foundation was incorporated in 1968 as an Illinois not-for-profit corporation and has been granted exemption from Federal income taxes under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The funds for Foundation scholarships are raised through individual donations, endowments, bequests, and Foundation events. Through the years, scholarships have been provided by donations from former scholarship winners and by donations from other supporters. The foundation honors distinguished members and donors by awarding scholarships in their names. To ensure the viability of the Foundation, supporters are encouraged to consider including the Women’s Bar Foundation in their estate plans.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our targeted audience is the law community in the US and future scholarship winners. These are all professionals and law students.
I have a attached a PDF of the requirements. We are looking for creative designs that meet a majority of the requirements.
Here is our vision:
- A majority of the design should be within an oval. The border of the logo may have an additional border, but it depends on the design.
- Colors: Black, Gold
- Images should include a white scroll, professional woman and a scales of justice
- It should say "Womens Bar Foundation of Illinois" on the outside of the border or within the double pane border (whatever looks better)
- The woman should NOT be holding a scales of justice. There are a bunch out
Here is the current website: http://www.illinoiswbf.org/ This logo will most likely replace the one at the top left. This should give you an idea of what colors to use.
