A new online store selling retro memorabilia is seeking a classic logo to take people back in time. Ideally, the logo will appeal to baby boomers’ sense of nostalgia while taking advantage of the hip new ‘everything old is new again’ craze sweeping the world!
All ideas are most welcome, and I would especially encourage designs from people who enjoy creating from this era.
Think classic 1950s but also fun and quirky
RetroShop.com.au will be targeted only for Australian residents so an Australian 1950s era style would be ideal
See attached 'examples of products’ for types of products to be sold – logo would need to reflect this ‘vibe’
Logo would need to incorporate ‘RetroShop.com.au ‘ with the emphasis on the RetroShop component and a smaller .com.au.
Logo may or may not include a symbol or picture.
I am interested to see what designs could incorporate ‘retro light box.jpg’ design (images attached), but this is not a ‘must have’ element
Only to be used online and possibly in print ads for online shop.
Needs to project a fun and young image but also appeal to the baby boomer’s sense of nostalgia as well. E.g. two main markets – 1. Baby boomers 2. young city professionals (logo can’t put off either group)
As original and authentic-looking as possible – i.e. if the internet was around in the 1950s what would this logo have looked like?
