How Laura-On The Go started their logo design journey
I have been in the medical laboratory testing industry for 30+ years as a consultant, sales rep, trainer, troubleshooter and laboratory information designer. (I love creating, but this one is out of my league!) I am starting an internet business using my expertise to provide medical laboratory test intrepretations, interesting newsletter articles highlighting current medical events and new medical breakthroughs. 99designs was recommended as a great place to get innovative professional website logos and this is what I am after.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience for my website will be primarily baby-boomers and those who do not have a lot of internet experience, but need to access easily available information. My goal is to make my website, UnderstandMyBloodTest.com so easy to use that people return again and again to access information following blood testing. Even though my target audience is geared to those who are not necessarily internet savvy, anyone will benefit from the easy to use, straight forward approach. My goal is to provide information without getting lost in multiple layers of minutia!
**Can anyone do a design with puzzle pieces underneath the website name? (signifing putting the puzzle together)** I would like to use colors other than red, brown and/or yellow that are associated with blood/specimen collections. I like teals, greens, aquas, blues, golds and oranges but I am totally open to using any other colors other than the red, brown or yellow. I HATE pink! I will redesign my website colors around the new logo colors so that they complement each other. I envision either a microscope, test tube, beaker or a "lab report" as part of my logo design, although I am totally open to other creative ideas! I have 4 other domain names for similar sites (UnderstandMyHPVTest.com, UnderstandMyPAPTest.com, etc) which I would have work for at a later date to match/mirror this design.
