I am a Toronto-based, lifestyle photographer looking to rebrand my photography business with an artistic, cool and clever logo design. I am 30 years old and have nearly a decade of photography experience under my belt. My current focus is wedding photography (local or destination), however, I’d like to further extend my portfolio as my business continues to grow. I would describe my style as photojournalistic, unobtrusive and fine-art. Basically, I am passionate about capturing life’s stories as they unfold and documenting meaningful moments for my clients.
I am in the process of redoing my website, but here is the link so you can get a feel of some of my work: http://www.nikkophotography.com/
I want to attract young professional couples (25-40 year-olds). They are fun, cool, (sometimes even a bit adventurous) and classy, who are willing to spend a little bit more for quality work. They appreciate artistic creativity and photojournalistic story-telling.
Ideally a logo with an icon and typeface. I would prefer a brand that incorporates both my business name (Nikko Photography) and an iconic symbol (possibly this symbol can be a play on my name). Perhaps try to incorporate this symbol within a crest or a seal. I like aesthetics but I'm looking for something with good usability and positive user experience when clients see my brand. A combination of the two will guarantee a design winner.
Please no popular photography logo icons (i.e. shutters, apertures and cameras) or clip art/stock images in the design.
I would like to use this design to “mark” my photos, as a watermark or signature. If my company name is too long, I am considering only using my icon as my signature on my work.
I need something clever to represent my work: photojournalistic, fine-art and classy.
I need the design to brand all my communications/promotional materials:
• Website (including site header)
• Social media channels (i.e. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube)
• Business Cards
• Tradeshow Booths
• Other collateral materials (i.e. pamphlets, brochures and postcards)
• 2-3 colours max (love grey and purple but am open to other colours)
• Large files
• Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
• Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
