T's That Teach
Yoga Threads is a T Shirt subscription business (or club) for both women and men. Each month, members of our community will receive an eco-friendly, high quality, screen printed t-shirt that shares a summarized sloka, or verse from one of the three main texts that teach the philosophy of yoga. There will be no pictures of sloths or pandas doing yoga postures. There will be no phrases like “I survive on Yoga and Coffee” or “Namastayinbed”. Our tagline is, “T’s that Teach”. We imagine yoga instructors wearing our shirts when they teach a class and can even theme classes and workshops around the shirt design. Our clients are studied in the philosophy of yoga and appreciate the deeper teachings. They are spiritually minded and put spiritual practice into their lives. Please don’t mistake our clients as stuffy, pretentious, politically liberal, hippies or airy fairy. They are vibrant, joyful, successful, welcoming, open hearted and loving people. Many of them are yoga instructors and have themselves done a lot of inner work with yoga and meditation to release traumas and struggles they may have had in their life. They have found a sense of mental clarity in their life and have released a lot of emotional baggage that allow them to guide others on their path and live a life full of purpose. They are excited to help others and feel a sense of joy and love from the gift of knowing these deeper teachings of yoga. The brand will grow into a Youtube channel featuring a community of yoga instructors and practitioners all around the globe that will present the teachings from each monthly t-shirt, as well as classes, workshops and eventually yoga retreats. I have sent some mock ups I created on Canva that have a feel that I like. I like the idea of using a Mandala but I also connect to shapes like circles, spirals, or even something that looks like random beads on a string (“Golden Circle Logo”). I toyed with the idea of the “T” being a needle and thread, or the “Threads” word emulating sewed stitches, but not sure if that would make the brand look more childlike or sewing studio rather than yoga? A color scheme I like are teals, aquas, and blue greens with a pop of yellow for vibrancy and fun. I sent some pictures that have this combination with a feel I like. The portraits are of me, the creator of Yoga Threads, hopefully showing a sense of maturity as well as fun. I’m super excited to see what you come up with!! The vibe I want my potential clients to feel about my club: Maturity Knowledgeable Calm Spirituality Vibrant Modern Stylish Community
I plan to use this logo for bumper stickers and possibly a shirt design on its own. I would, of course, like it to scale nicely from very small to large. I would like a small version of the logo to be used on every t-shirt under the featured design.
