The job was to design a logo for a sales and leadership trainer and coach. Bob aurora brought a thoughtful creativity to the logo and really went above and beyond to meet my needs throughout the process.
Intuitive artist, quick responses and wonderful design!
How drtrombergdscv started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Dermatologic Surgery of Central Virginia
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a very specialized skin cancer surgery practice. We do something called Mohs surgery. Most of our patients are older, with occasional patients in the 30-40s. They mostly are sent to us from other dermatologists or primary care doctors. They don't usually self-refer.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like to update our logo or get a whole new one. Something we can use on a 3D sign on the wall of our clinic, tshirts, stationery, business cards, etc. We would like something with some gravitas since we are a medical practice and treat skin cancer exclusively. The sun is a big part of what we talk about, so often that is incorporated into the logos of other dermatologic/Mohs surgeons. We like that as well, but are open to other ideas. We are located in Central Virginia, US, surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. The University of Virginia is here, but we are not affiliated with them.
For colors we tend to like blues, maybe oranges for the sun if there is one. But again, we are open to new ideas. There is one female physician and one male physician at the practice.
I have attached our current logo. The senior male physician designed this himself about 17 years ago in 15 minutes. It is a scalpel, cutting a circle around the skin cancer (which is kind of how Mohs surgery is done) and the wave is really the epidermis and dermis, which are the top two layers of the skin. The scalpel looks sharp and aggressive and intimidating to me. We want to promote a caring, safe surgical clinic and help our patients to not be too nervous during their experience.
The second photo (North point physicians) is one I found online, and I like that. But again, I'm open to lots of ideas. It doesn't necessarily need to be icon on the left and wording on the right, even though I tend to gravitate to that. I'm looking forward to ideas that get us outside of the box and creative! Thanks to you all for your effort and talent!
