Localtag.org Ltd
We are a new online service platform to enable residents, visitors, businesses, events and social services to foster unified local communties, connecting via their location-aware smart phones. We need a final logo design, which when used as a location label it will be combined with a scannable "QR code" which can be read by smart-phones (see examples) either with a QR code embedded within the symbol, or reduced in size and implanted in the centre of the QR code.
Our symbol for this location-aware mobile service is a fox, just as a fox stores its meals in many locations as hidden caches and remembers where they all are. We are happy with this fox symbol, which needs a designer's eye to to complete it to finished art stage. The fox-logo-front.jpg or fox-logo-rear shows the basic image of what we need. The files foxtag-withQR-rear.jpg and foxtag-withQR-front.jpg show examples where we include an embedded QR code within the fox shape to create a tag that can be scanned. tagfox.png shows the reverse for when space is very limited we embed the fox within the QR code. iphone-fox shows how we associate the logo with mobiles. So for this competition we need a finished art version of the fox-logo (front and/or rear) plus a foxtag version which has a white square in which we can paste the QR code. We are open to ideas for variations on the basic design which still keeps the QR code area as large as possible (for scanning). The eyes are our experimenting to show a forward facing fox and we're unsure which is better at this stage.
The localtag.png files show the example teal-blue color of a window label design we are considering, which in this example is just the fox's tail. As a final note, we have fuond it challenging not to end up with the fox looking like a "cat" or "pikachu" :) Good Luck!
