this is a research project performed by our institute with public funding and corporate partners funding The project is about designing and testing new methods to quantify greenhouse gas emissions (CO2 and CH4) from anthropogenic activities. In particular, CO2 emissions from fossil fuel burning at global scale, using satellites with imagery capabilities (satellites measure concentrations in the atmosphere out of which emissions can be retrieved with models). Also, the project will work with instruments on the ground to track methane (CH4) emissions from industrial sites, namely landfills, oil and gas extraction and transport, and waste water processing plants

We would like to have a simple logo that could convert the ideas of : - anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases - research - measurements - possibly satellites - possibly industrial sites emitting CH4 to the atmosphere avoid dramatic colors like red, black avoid colors too much related to natural carbon reservoirs (vegetation, ocean) because the project is about anthropogenic emissions
